Tom, who I remember as Tommy, was a wonderful tap dancer.  He tapped at all the Thad Stevens Christmas Holiday events most if not all of grades 1-6. One year his costume was a sailor suit.  I don't remember the number he danced to but he was really quite good.   I never appreciated it until I had to take a tap dance course in my undergraduate Physical Education program at Slippery Rock.  If I had the chance, I'd remind him of those days and ask if he was nervous to perform.  He was a quiet kid but never looked at all nervous.  I'd also ask where he took lessons because I don't remember any dance schools in the township.  His mother must have taken him somewhere, maybe oakland which would have been a big deal in those days.   It's a fond memory.  Marian Sutter
