Unfortunately, I am writing to inform you that Bill passed away yesterday morning. My wife, Kris, and I went to the hospital and he passed 15 minutes later, almost as if he was waiting for us to arrive. We take comfort in knowing that we were there for him when it happened. And knowing how much he loved watching the Phillies, I cant help but think he had a hand in that incredible 9th inning come from behind win yesterday.
Thanks to all of you who have reached out with words of support. It's comforting to hear how much he was loved and surrounded by friends. I always knew he played and taught bridge at the Y, but I never understood how many lives he touched and so many who appreciated his knowledge, expertise, and friendship.
We have talked about a celebration for him likely in October when we can get the family together. Will be sure to let you know.
