It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Wesley Blewett of Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

It is with great sadness that I have learned of the passing of my oldest friend Dale Blewett on December 4. 2023. I was pleased to be Best Man many years ago at his wedding to Joanne Ecklund, younger sister to our classmate Nancy Ecklund. At their 25th wedding anniversary, everyone in the wedding party was still married to their same spouse, including the minister. They recently moved to 271 Glenburn Drive, Dayton, OH 45459 to be near family. Dale will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Nancy Eklund (Grush)
I met Dale in high school and, in 1962, introduced him to my sister, Joanne, so I've been connected with him for over 65 years. He and Joanne were married for 59 3/4 years. Dale was a master of puns, collected and reconditioned antique license plates and cars, and, up until August, walked their 2 Dalmatians (at one time 3) four miles a day. He was a stellar brother-in-law.

I was so sorry to hear Dale passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with Joanne, his family, and Nancy. I first met Dale in Mrs Tragers' 4th grade class at Wm. McKinley. He was always a joy to be around. He was always kind and thoughtful. The last time we were able to reminisce was at our 50th Penn Hills Class Reunion.
