Joseph "Mickey" F. O'Connor

Age 79. of Verona, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 surrounded by his family.  Beloved husband of Caryn (Blotzer) O'Connor; loving father of Colleen Crumb (Kenneth), Amy Wells (Jay), Stacye Ficorilli, Shelley Barton (Jeff), and the late Timothy O'Connor.  Grandfather of Hanna Bolinger (Cyrus Serrao), Hunter Ficorilli, Logan Wells, Peyton Wells, Addison Crumb, Conley Barton, and Auggie Barton; great grandfather of Scarlett Serrao and Selena Serrao.  Son of the late David and Edna (Bianco) O'Connor; brother of David O'Connor, Kathleen Hugo (late Walter), Dennis O'Connor (Bonnie), Eileen Dapra (Anthony), and the late Dorothy O'Connor.

Mickey was a member of the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Department for 50 plus years and was employed by the Municipality of Penn Hills as a WPCD Employee and as the Purchasing Agent.  He also enjoyed NASCAR, camping, and trains.  A member of American Legion Pitcairn Post 256.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, Inc., 11311 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills.

Fire Fighters Memorial Service held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at funeral home.
